Bellevue International Theater Festival
Meydenbauer Center, Bellevue WA
The Bellevue International Theatre Festival (BITFest) is a three-day celebration of bold, diverse, and independent theatre from across the United States. Hosted by Theatre33 at the Meydenbauer Center Theatre, BITFest brings together companies, artists, and audiences for a unique cultural exchange rooted in storytelling, creativity, and connection.
Over the course of the festival, audiences experience a curated lineup of productions ranging from contemporary works to reimagined classics, performed in multiple languages and theatrical styles. Each performance is followed by professional adjudication sessions, offering thoughtful feedback and fostering dialogue between artists and industry professionals.
More than a series of performances, BITFest is a space for discovery—where emerging and established theatre-makers share their work, engage with new audiences, and connect with a vibrant artistic community. From the Opening Ceremony to post-show gatherings, the festival creates opportunities for meaningful exchange both on and off the stage.
Whether you are a theatre lover, an artist, or simply curious, BITFest invites you to experience theatre that crosses borders, challenges perspectives, and celebrates the power of live performance.
