Paris, 1941. Pablo Picasso is brought face-to-face with a mysterious woman whose seemingly simple request quickly becomes something far more complicated. What begins as a conversation soon develops into a tense and fascinating battle of intelligence, wit, charm, and manipulation.

Can an artist ever truly separate himself from his work? And what happens when art becomes powerful enough to threaten those in power?

Inspired by real events and set against the dangerous backdrop of Nazi-occupied Paris, Jeffrey Hatcher’s A Picasso imagines an encounter in which art, politics, identity, and survival collide. Picasso must navigate a situation where the wrong answer could have consequences far beyond the fate of a painting, while the woman across from him may have motivations of her own.
