Meet the Cast: Keira – The Little Prince

At just 13 years old, Keira takes on the title role of The Little Prince in Theatre33’s production traveling to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Although she’s been with Theatre33 for only a couple of years, Keira brings a vivid imagination, curiosity, and a love of creativity to the stage. We caught up with her to learn more about her experience, her favorite things, and what she’s looking forward to in Scotland.

A Conversation with Keira

Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m 13 years old and I love opera, ballet, and anything creative or abstract.

How long have you been involved with Theatre33?

I’ve been with Theatre33 for about 1–2 years.

Who do you play in The Little Prince?

I play The Little Prince.

What is your favorite thing about performing?

Having bragging rights afterward… and just performing!

What do you love most about your character?

I’m not really sure—I just enjoy playing the role.

What has been the biggest challenge in preparing for this role?

Definitely memorizing all of my lines.

Do you have a favorite scene in the show?

I don’t have one particular favorite scene.

If you could describe The Little Prince in three words, what would they be?

Clueless. Confident. Curious.

How does performing make you feel?

Excited.

The best thing about Theatre33 is…

The community.

How do you feel about performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe?

Good! I’m excited to have the opportunity.

What are you most excited about for the trip?

Probably getting to fly out of the country by myself.

Have you traveled internationally before?

Yes! I’ve been to Canada, Turkey, Germany, Thailand, Finland, Estonia, and Italy.

What are you most looking forward to doing in Scotland?

Trying foods from different cultures.

When you think about Edinburgh, what do you imagine?

A fun adventure.

What do you hope audiences remember about The Little Prince?

The effort we all put into the show.

“It’s a fun, abstract show that really relies on creativity!”
